Visiting the Church From Overseas?

Information leaflets are available in the church in 7 European Languages

Welcome Leaflets

The new welcome leaflets are available at the back of the church, it is just a small leaflet explaining who we are and what we do.  If you stay for service feel free to take one home with you.

This grade 1 listed building dates from the 12th century and may be the oldest church in the city. Some fragments of the original building remain, but the church is mainly medieval. Worthy of note are the 16th century font cover, the Jacobean pulpit and the reredos in the chancel. Amongst the fragments of medieval glass is the earliest known representation of the city’s coat of arms.

The church has an anglo-catholic and choral tradition, which is reflected in our worship. Although the PCC decided not to sign declarations A,B, and C, the president/celebrant at the Eucharist is always male.
